Robert

Robert came was admitted to our facility after a long stay in a critical care unit at a local hospital. He was diagnosed with COPD and obstructive sleep apnea. He had been living alone when his undiagnosed OSA led to severe Co2 retention. When he finally made it to our facility, he was very confused about what had made him so sick. Our Respiratory Therapists taught him how to manage his C02 using BiPap therapy. We taught him about bronchial hygiene and PNA prevention. He now independently manages his oxygen and uses it as needed.
